Skoda Rapid makes Global Debut on NDTV’s award winning 'The Car And Bike Show'

NDTV’s long-running automobile based programme, The Car and Bike Show has completed 400 episodes, and 8 years on-air. To celebrate this unique and India-first milestone, NDTV will broadcast the show’s first-ever studio based format programming. Considering the show as the right platform to debut its new car, Skoda unveiled the Rapid on the sets of the show. The special two part series would be aired on Saturday, October 15 at 1:30pm and Sunday, October 16 at 7:00pm on NDTV Profit. Hosted by Siddharth Vinayak Patankar, NDTV The Car & Bike Show is one of India’s most awarded automobile programme It has been the most watched show in its genre and has pioneer status since inception. Has spawned other hit programming like 'A Very Ferrari Summer', 'Love Life & Lamborghini', 'Autobahn', 'Another Ferrari Summer', 'Freewheeling', 'Freewheeling: A Big Dream', and an auto quiz show called 'Mahindra AQ'.

On the debut of the Skoda Rapid Thomas Kuehl, Board Member-Sales & Marketing, Skoda Auto India said “We are launching the next big leap for Skoda this year. So the first market for Skoda worldwide is India to launch the first compact limousine.” Skoda also announced new base variants of its Skoda Yeti and Skdoa Superb on the show. Skoda has plans to make variants of the Skoda Rapid available across the world, as a part of its ‘Mission L’ compact sedan strategy, and India is the first market to receive the car. The 8th anniversary special was the preferred platform for auto giants to unveil their soon to launch offerings as the special show marked the debut Hero Impulse 150cc motorcycle, and the Hyundai Eon small car.
