Skoda Superb goes cheaper by Rs 1.6 lakhs

Here comes a good news for the people aspiring to get a premium car, Volkswagen group's Skoda Auto India has dropped its flagship sedan Superb's price down by Rs 1.6 lakh. This good move has come up with the launch of Ambition, the cheaper variant in the line up. Skoda Superb, which leads the premium sedan segment in India will now start its petrol version 'Elegance' price at Rs 18 Lakh (Delhi) which was 19.6 lakhs previously. Such an aggressive step will help the Volkswagen group to compete better with the likes of Honda Accord, Hyundai Sonata and Toyota Camry.

Head of Marketing, Skoda Auto India, Mr. Kamal Basu said that the company is eying at greater accessibility by increasing its model line while making sure of not compromising Superb's Comfort, efficacy and safety. The other official of informed that removing the features like sunroof, touch screen, cruise control, adaptive front light and audio system, this particular variant is taken out targeting the chauffeur-driven market. Other features are kept almost same. The Skoda Ambition model is to be available either having the older 1.8 TSI petrol engine with six speed manual transmission or 2.0 TDI CR diesel engine with auto transmission.
