Tata Motors has finally launched its much-awaited sporty version of Bolt, in Nepal. Manufactured at Pimpri Plant Pune, the car is designed under the Tata’s Horizonext umbrella and offers many first in the segment features along with the sportier look. 

Launched at the starting price of NPR 23.95 lac (ex-showroom Kathmandu), for its Revotron 1.2 litre petrol engine and 28.35 lac (ex-showroom Kathmandu) for the diesel motor, the all-new Bolt is integrated with better design, drivability and connectivity and will be available in more than 16 Sipradi outlets across the country.  

According to the the Regional Head of South Asia passenger vehicles business unit of Tata Motors, Mr Sujan Roy, Tata Motors are delighted to launch the much-awaited Bolt to serve the best to the customers. With this launch the company is expecting to strengthen their presence in the hatchback market. This sporty vehicle offers global design and standards, which will not only appeal to the first time car buyers, but also to the existing car users.

The word “Bolt” signifies speed and presents a winning and staying ahead attitude, which can be clearly felt with its amazing bold design, perfect drivability and the seamless connectivity. At the event, Tata Motors also declared the extensive warranty of 4 years or 75,000 kms (whichever is earlier) which will certainly brings higher level of reliability, lesser cost of ownership and greater resale value to the customers.

Coming to the appearance, this sporty hatchback presents smooth, flowing lines, which finishes at the edge of the spoiler and creates the illusion of movement even though the car stands still, whereas the rear spoiler aids in aerodynamics. The wrapped around effect of rear windows due to darkened C-pillar creates beautiful floating roof design, adding extra sporty touch to this classy hatchback. The flamed shaped tail lamps and the rear bumpers bestow the Tata hatch with eye catchy substance.

Available in exciting five colours - Pristine White, Sky Grey, Venetian Red, Dune Beige and Platinum Silver - the all-new Bolt comes with three powertrains, i.e XE, XM and XT.  It is loaded with first in the segment DriveNext features that makes it best in terms of driving dynamics. The car will be offered in both petrol and diesel trims. The petrol variant is equipped with 1.2 litre Turbocharged Multi-point Fuel Injection (MPFi) Revotron motor that generates the power of 90PS @5000 rpm and the highest torque of 140 Nm from 1500 to 4000 rpm. Talking about the diesel motor, it is available with 1.3 litre Quadrajet powertrain that brings out the power of 75PS @ 4000 rpm and the torque of 190 Nm @ 1750-3000 rpm. Both petrol and diesel trims are BS-IV compliant. When it comes to mileage, 1.2 litre Revotron engine delivers the ARAI tested economy of 17.57 kmpl, while the diesel gives the ARAI tested mileage of 22.95 kmpl.

The vehicle has been designed in association with global consultancies so that it brings the world-class performance in terms of power, torque and efficiency and has undergone over 3,00,000 hours of rigorous research testing.
