Tata Indica Vista Electric to be produced in UK

The most awaited electric vehicle, Tata Indica Vista EV is planned to be manufactured in Coventry UK by company officials. Tata Motors is in a process to pen down a plan for manufacturing plant in Coventry (UK) which will be used to manufacture the all exclusive Tata Indica Vista EV. The entire production will not be concluded in US as the batteries to be used in these cars will be manufactured in Norway and Canada plant will give the drive trains for the first stunning electric vehicle from Tata Motors. Tata Indica Vista is one of the most successful offering from Tata Motors as it has made great progress in Indian markets and now the option of an eclectic vehicle under the same brand name will enrich it further. Tata Indica Vista EV is designed in a manner that it will target the small sized families. The battery used in the car is built on high end technology platform and will give 177 Km on a single charge which is best in class output. A huge performance excellence is observed in Tata Indica Vista EV battery as compared to other electric vehicles in market. As per the plans of Tata Motors, only 100 units of Indica Vista EV will be manufactured in the year 2011 which will employ 25 workers and expertise. And then after the production of this stunning car will be accelerated as per the prevailing demand in market and it can be increased up to 1,500 cars per year.

The wonderful environment friendly car will make its debut in UK and some selected European countries as well. Tata Indica Vista EV is a proud owner of 5,000 pound government subsidy which was offered to 8 other cars this week by Department for Transport.

As far as Indian Auto market is concerned, yet the company officials have not made any statement for launch but certainly the car is expected to zoom in its domestic market in near future. The major reason hindering the launch of electric vehicle in Indian market is the lack of necessary infrastructure and power facilities which forms the essential platform to maintain an electric car.
