In the year of 2010, where almost all car manufacturers enjoyed success and growth, only the Italian car maker, Fiat who is in the country via Tata Motors was struggling a bit with its sales. This struggle gave rise to rumors about the split between Tata Motors India and Fiat. But, according to latest developments, Tata motors has reportedly denied the rumors regarding this rift and told that it is still devoted to Fiat Auto association.

The Group CEO and Managing Director of Tata Motors is said to have expressed an opinion that Tata will put in full efforts to push forward Fiat to huge numbers in the country and are quite confident in building up this partnership much more stronger. There are rumors that both car manufacturers have jointly invested in a car manufacturing plant, which is located near Pune, at Ranjangaon. Along with the upcoming plant rumor, there is also a combined retail arrangement which failed to do any good to Fiat. It is also a known fact Tata Motors made use of Fiat’s 1.3 multi-jet diesel engine for their cars and there are hints that at the Ranjangaon facility larger capacity engines will be manufactured. Fiat also has pretty high hopes from its fresh compact car, which is expected to release in the year of 2012.

As far as Tata Nano exports are concerned, the company says that it’s not at all an easy job to get done with, said sources. The company is still looking for a flourishing market for it. As per certain buzz in the Indian Auto market, there are chances of Tata Nano to be released in a diesel variant. However, there is no official confirmation by the company. Nonetheless, diesel variant of Tata Nano will surely boosts up its sale. Currently, the main focus of Tata Motors is on small towns, which is actually a very thriving area for the car sales. In keeping with some reports, the main highlight of the firm is its global strategy, which in turn gave Jaguar land Rover and Tata a chance to try their luck in other international car markets too. So, in all it can be said that all is well between Fiat India and Tata motors and they will keep their customers happy by introducing new cars in India soon.
