Tata to bring Zest, Bolt, Nano & Safari Storme facelift; Focuses on Design and Quality aspect

The last years auto crises engulfed Tata into first-in-decade major drop in market share, 7.94 percent from 17 percent a decade ago. To reclaim the lost grounds, Tata Motors is prepped-up to launch a completely new product Tata Zest, a compact sedan. The Zest will tackle the hot selling compact sedan segment rivaling Dzire, Xcent and Amaze. The company will also launch the Bolt hatchback to take on the premium hatch space. Moreover, Nano update is also on the cards this year along with the Safari Storme facelift.

The Zest and Bolt, is a major up-lift over the Tata's current line-up. Cyrus Mistry, Tata Motors' current Chairman is making an effective contribution towards every minute details of the upcoming hatch-sedan duo. The duo are also bringing the Tata's new design philosophy 'DESIGNEXT' which will be carried forward in the upcoming products.

Tata Zest & Bolt

"It's the start of a new era of products. We'll get better and better," stated Tata Motors, Head-Advanced & Product Engineering, Tim Leverton. Mistry is actively involved in the development of these vehicle, "He has a keen eye for design and has been able to comment on the newer upcoming scale models in a fairly concise manner," Leverton added.

Tata Bolt

Girish Wagh, Sr Vice President, Program Planning & Project Management, Tata motors said that the Chairman is also focusing on the quality improvement, fit and finish in the final production ready models of Zest and Bolt.

Tata Zest

Speaking of the two, Zest will certainly be the only car in its segment and under Rs 10 lakh bracket that will be equipped with an automatic transmission - AMT (Automated-Manual-Transmission).

Tata Bolt

Both the vehicle are getting numerous segment first features, like, projector headlamps, day-time-running-LEDs (Zest), Harman powered 5-inch infotainment system, turbo-charged petrol engines, etc.

Tata Zest

According to some leaked spy-shots Nano facelift is also coming in automatic-AMT avatar and will feature an open-able boot-lid. About the Safari facelift, it will receive major changes inside-out.

Tata Nano Twist Facelift

Just like the Zest and Bolt, Safari will also be getting the Harmon powered infotainment system. Speaking of the engine, the SUV will get upgraded VARICOR powertrain from the updated ARIA. Tata will also bring an automatic version of Safari with 'ZF' designed 6-speed auto box by the end of this year.
