Toyota Classics 2010 World of Harmony concert to be held in Mumbai

Toyota Kirloskar Motor, is coming with a charity event in Mumbai on 12th November “The Toyota Classics 2010- World of Harmony and the money collected from the concert will be donated to CRY. Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt Ltd, in India is a venture of Kirloskar Group and Toyota Motor Corporation for Toyota cars manufacturing and sales. The company stands at the 8th position as the biggest car manufacturer in India. The company's current facility is at Bangalore in Karnataka with a capacity of producing 80,000 cars every year.

In 2010, October, TKMPL had a considerable growth, as it sold 6602 cars which was 5650 units which accounts to a growth of 17 per cent, compared to last year in the corresponding period. The company's first three quarters show a growth of 49 per cent if compared to the last year's figures. TKMPL had a growth of 107 per cent on 2009 by selling 55,497 cars which is way beyond the sales graph of 2008.

Mumbai has been a hub for music lovers and Toyota Motors is using the right way to capture it. A memorable evening is being planned by the car makers. The Orchestra Citta de Firenze, was on a 8 city tour worldwide and Mumbai, India is its last destination. The band is accompanied by famous conductor Lorenzo Castriota Skanderbeg, and also well known tenor Leonardo Melani and the young talented pianist from Vietnam Luu Hong Quang will be present and will tune the wonderful Italian classics. The music admirers will also have the pleasure to hear the Padmanshree De. Kadri Goplanath, the Saxophonist.

Toyota Classics, cultural programme was started in 1990 by Toyota Motors. As many as 154 concerts have been organized around the world which have been successful in raising funds for the various charitable organizations.

Apart from various activities, Toyota Kirloskar Motors India, has several other expansion plans and strategies to use the growing market in its favour. The company is planning to launch Toyota Etios in the Indian auto market on 1st December, 2010. Toyota Etios is a tricky affair for Toyota makers as the company is investing in the small car segment for first time. Toyota Motors is leaving no stone unturned. The car maker has roped the music icon A.R. Rahman as the brand ambassador of the much awaited car.

The company has extensive plans to open more dealerships and expand in the auto market in India. Toyota wishes to have a 10 per cant share in the Indian auto market by 2018. The growth graphs of 10 years reveal that the company went down by 4 per cent to 2.5 per cent. But the launch of the new car and implementing on its aggressive plans, the company hopes to rise again and achieve the target of having a larger chunk in the Indian auto market.
