Toyota to accelerate production before Innova facelift launch

The Japanese auto manufacturer, Toyota Motors has made an announcement that they look forward to ramping up their production to 40% before the launch of Toyota Innova facelift. The Toyota Innova facelift will rival Mahindra Xylo, apart from which, Maruti India is soon to introduce Maruti Etriga (RIII) MPV.

The increase in the production capacity of Toyota Innova will help the auto brand to make the deliveries on time against the longer waiting periods. The leading auto major expects the new Toyota Innova sales to increase the 4000 units to 6000 units per month after the launch.The changes made in the new Toyota Innova includes the new headlights, taillights and redesigned bumpers with rendering bolder appearance.

Toyota India has the launch of their most popular models Toyota Etios diesel and the Toyota Etios Liva diesel with a phenomenal mileage of 23.59 kmpl next on cards. The Toyota Etios twins are to come affixed with a 1.4 L D-4D common rail turbo diesel engine with 68 Bhp peak power. The competitors for the Toyota Etios sedan are Tata Manza and Maruti Swift Dzire and Toyota Etios hatch are Ford Figo and Maruti Swift. The Toyota dealers are accepting the bookings for the Toyota Etios twins with a down payment of mere Rs 50,000.

Apart from the upcoming launches, Toyota Motors had reported an increase in sales by 84% in the month of August against the corresponding period, last year. The registered growth had been accounted by their flagship models Toyota Etios sedan, Toyota Etios Liva hatchback and the Toyota Innova MUV. However, the Toyota Etios hatch did not meet the company's expectation in its petrol variant, the gap which the company intends to fulfill with the launch of the diesel variants of the Toyota Etios twins.
