Volvo is an auto maker from Sweden and is known for the safety and reliability of its products. Volvo has recently announced the recall of around 3000 models of the sedan S60 and SUV XC60,though the Indian models remain unaffected. The reason behind this recall is the over-application of an underbody coating which has been mixed incorrectly. This incorrect mixture could form rigid, icicle-like areas hanging from the vehicle’s undercarriage which in turn can make the underbody coating to penetrate the fuel lines. The penetration of fuel line could ultimately cause fuel leakage thus increasing the risk of fire.
