The Grand Vitara will come in six broad trims with nine colour options
Update (26/09/2022): Maruti has launched the 2022 Grand Vitara, which is its first strong-hybrid offering, priced from Rs 10.45 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India).

The SUV can be booked for Rs 11,000.

The mild hybrid variants are available with both manual and automatic transmissions, while the strong hybrid variants will only come with automatic.

The top-spec mild hybrid has an AWD option with a five-speed manual.

Maruti will launch the Grand Vitara soon and has already started taking bookings for a token amount of Rs 11,000. The carmaker has revealed its variants and colour options as well.
The SUV will be sold in 6 broad trims: Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Zeta+, Alpha and Alpha+. Here is a look at the powertrain options available with each variant.

All mild hybrids can be had in both manual and automatic transmissions except for the base and AWD variants. The strong hybrids on the other hand, only have an e-CVT gearbox option.
The SUV will come with two power options: a 1.5-litre petrol mild hybrid making 103PS and a 1.5-litre petrol strong hybrid making 116PS power (combined).
There are a total of nine colour options available on the Grand Vitara. The carmaker has gone with black roofs in the dual-tone shades.

Maruti will launch the Grand Vitara in September with an expected starting price of Rs 9.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival other compact SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor and of course, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
