Renault-Nissan group is taking their collaboration with Daimler which began in the spring of 2010, further with new projects. As per the speculations, Daimler is speculating over manufacturing a compact passenger car under the Mercedes-Benz banner, partnering with Renault-Nissan from 2016 in Eastern parts of Europe so as to further reduce costs for development and also increase volumes being produced.
Other reports say that the Mercedes-Benz would soon build SUV alongside Nissan’s premium Infiniti. Commenting on the partnership and the plans, Bank analyst Juergen Pieper Pieper told Autonews that Nissan is a respectable brand to be associated with and an SUV built jointly would make good sense.
Certain German daily further added to this saying that the vehicle being manufactured alongside Infiniti is the production version of the Etherea concept which is based on the Mercedes-Benz A-Class model.
The speculations are that the details of the plans are soon going to be announced during the Paris Motor Show which is going to be held in September.
