Hyundai Avante to be launched in December in India

It is being reported that Hyundai Avante will be launched in December 2010 in India. Hyundai Avante is a big launch from the South Korean car manufacturer after (Hyundai i20 CDRi). The speculations are strong that it will be priced around Rs. 11 lacs. Avante will come in two variants 1.6 litre diesel and petrol engine. It is being speculated that, the new sedan may come in 1.4 litre petrol engine. The Hyundai i 20 is also affixed with the same petrol engine.

Hyundai Avante is the taking the place of Hyundai Elantra as its manufacturing has been halted from last year. The all new car Hyundai Avante will come in 5 speed manual or 6 speed automatic transmission. The petrol model will come with 1591cc DOHC CVVT engine which will produce maximum power of 118 bhp at 6200 rpm with maximum torque 156 Nm at 4200 rpm. The Diesel model has 1582 cc CRDi engine which can produce maximum power of 115 bhp at 400rpm with maximum torque of 260 Nm at 1900 rpm.
