Mercedes-Benz Reveals Facelifted 2015 G-Class

The German carmaker Mercedes-Benz has revealed the 2015 G-Class family and this time the capable G500 model features a new 4.0-litre biturbo V8 engine which also does duty in G500 4x4 concept. The mighty powertrain produce an output of 416bhp with 610Nm of peak torque which allows SUV to attain an acceleration of 0 to 100 in 5.9 seconds.
On the front, the facelifted G350d and G500 models now flaunts restyled bumpers and standard AMG flared wheel arches in the color of the vehicle. The G350d also comes as standard with 18-inch five-spoke light-alloy wheels.
Mechanically, the G350d variant now churns more power as the output is increased from 208bhp to 241bhp and torque from 540Nm to 600Nm which results in improved acceleration of 0 to 100kmph in mere 8.9 seconds. The AMG model named as G63 AMG also boosts more power as it now delivers 563bhp with 760Nm of max torque. On the other hand, the G65AMG, which is not available for Indian customers, gives an output of 621bhp and peak torque of 1000Nm.
The company will also introduce the new AMG EDITION 463 special model which gets two-tone instrument cluster, dual tone leather upholstery with carbon-look leather and contrasting topstitching, seat and door center panels in a diamond design, carbon-fiber trim and door pulls in nappa leather. While the exterior of special model boasts stainless steel underguard, AMG sport stripes along the sides, a protective-strip insert with black aluminum look and 21 inch forged wheels.
