New Honda CRV; Official Pics for a Closer Look

Honda had recently unveiled a few pictures for the European model Honda CR-V and now they have further released more pictures to give us a closer look of the compact crossover. The gallery of pictures also gives us a glimpse of various available accessories like aero kits, 2-tone alloy wheels, chrome trim parts etc.

The new CR-V will be making a debut for Europe at the Paris Motor Show which is expected sometime in September and would be hitting the roads sometime in October this year. The compact crossover will be built at the Honda Swindon assembly plant which is in the U.K.

The range introduced would first include a 2.0-litre i-VTEC petrol engine which is capable of delivering close to 153bhp of power along with a 2.2-litre i-DTEC diesel which churns out 153bhp. Adding to the line later will be a 1.6-litre turbo diesel which will deliver 118bhp.

The new Honda CR-V is expected in India as well next year. Though the Crossover hasn’t worked very well in its previous version, mostly due to the low mileage and petrol fuel option but with the speculations of Honda bringing in their diesel facilities, we might see CR-V with the diesel fuel as well, which can help it multifold. In fact not just for the Honda CR-V , Honda India on the whole is banking a lot on the diesel engines. Currently the price for the Honda CR-V ranges from Rs. 22.65 Lakh – Rs. 24.90 Lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi).
