Nissan has planned the launch of the new Nissan Invitation concept, a B-series model in the Geneva Motor Show to be held next month. The model has features of both- hatchback and SUV. Though it is compact and cute like a hatchback it still has a sufficiently large cabin size similar to a baby SUV. Along with the Nissan invitation, the company has given signs of its idea to carry out the introduction of more crossover designs in the car market segment of European countries.
The all new Nissan’s car which will be based on Invitation concept is expected to be the major model in its segment to be launched in Europe next year. According to reports, the new Nissan may replace the simple yet successful Nissan Micra model. When the manufacturing of the car starts, it is expected to be sold with the two existing models from Nissan- the stylish Juke crossover and the cost efficient Nissan Micra which confirms Nissan's dedication to the vastly growing B-segment.
Further Nissan is planning a new ultra frugal model which would most likely use the supercharged 1.0 litre engine that is currently included in the Micra model in some countries. Every model will however come with the Nissan pure Drive label that is given only to models which have maximum fuel efficiency. The concept of Invitation, which was built in Japan, will be used in Nissan's European manufacturing center in Cranfield.
It is likely to have a stylish open cabin and other features like the Around view monitor system which provides a top view and could help during parking and reversing. Another feature, the safety shield system will constantly communicate with the driver to keep him updated about the surroundings. These advanced features will give the car an edge over its competitors.
