New Mahindra Bolero launched on its 10th Anniversary

Ten years back in India, Mahindra Bolero was introduced and the model has continued to maintain its dominance in its relevant segment. In the last 10 years, Mahindra Bolero has been successful in outperforming every single SUV in the Indian market. The model continues to have twenty nine percent share in its segment. The model comes at Rs. 5.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Now the company, Mahindra, has introduced a refreshed model of the present model Bolero on the occasion of anniversary of its model. Mr Rajesh Jejurikar, M&M Chief Executive (Automotive sector) commented that they were very careful while placing the Bolero. They never wanted it to be categorized as a tourist vehicle. The idea behind doing this was to promote the model as a personal vehicle.
Mahindra Bolero is placed as a powerful, dependable and tough entry level SUV for the roads of India and not particularly for a tourist vehicle. This has given rise to the growth of its sales in the rural market which consists of around three-fourth of its sales. Mahindra Bolero has been able to pass through the sales mark of 50,000 for 3 years in a row. This has made the model, the volume leader for the company.
